Challenge your young readers!
Summer Reading Challenges for Kids!
Just because school is out, doesn't mean that reading and learning should stop. Studies show that kids who keep reading all summer do better when they return to school in the fall. Encourage your young readers and help them keep their skills by getting them participating in our Summer Reading Challenges.
June 15 - August 21
Download a reading log for your 4-7 year old here, or for your 8-12 year old here (reading logs will also be available in-library). Get them reading anything and everything ~ recipes, movie write-ups, magazines, game instructions, graphic novels, road signs, and books of course! Fill in the reading log with the amount of time your child read. There is no limit to the number of reading logs your child can fill out. Each completed reading log earns one ticket into our prize draws. Each person is able to choose which prize draw they would like to enter. Choose from the following prizes:
Time Machine – Family day passes to the Sundre Museum and a collection of classic games
Get Wet – Family passes to the Sundre Pool, pool noodle, and Bunch of Balloons for at home water fun!
Game On! – A Collection of balls and sports equipment the whole family can play with!
When the log is full, either drop the log off in the drop box or take a picture of it and email it to firstname.lastname@example.org No matter how you get it to us, be sure to include your child’s name, phone number, and the prize draw they would like to enter. All logs must be submitted by August 21. Prizes will be drawn August 24th.
