Faxing

The library can send faxes for you. $2.00 for the first page, $1.00 for every page after.

Exam Invigilation (Proctoring)
Ideal for distance learners or anyone who needs to write regular certification exams, the library provides a quiet space and exam supervisor. Book a time with staff prior to your exam arrival to make sure we can accommodate you. $25.00/exam.  To schedule an exam, please submit an Exam Proctoring Request Form.

Laminating
The library provides a laminating service. $1.00/business cards, $2.00/page (letter sized), $2.50/page (legal sized)

Wireless Internet
The library is superpowered by Alberta Supernet. The speed is literally awesome. Use it on our public access computers or your own device and avoid a “high-speed” headache.

Alberta Wide Borrowing (ME Libraries)
Library members can register with non-Parkland public libraries across the province to easily borrow physical items (not eContent) using their Parkland Regional Library card. Borrowed materials can be returned to any public library, too. All this for free!

Interlibrary Loans
Borrow print and audio books, movies, music CDs, game discs and even journal and newspaper articles from libraries across the province. Request online using your Parkland Regional Library card number and PIN or ask library staff to find / request items for you. We will look far and wide – beyond Alberta and even internationally – to track down specific items and contact you when your item arrives so you can pick it up.

Borrow Books by Mail
Did you know we have a direct mail service? If you live remotely, are homebound, or have mobility issues you can request library materials be delivered to your mailbox by Canada Post.

Talk to your local library to find out more about this free service!

Reading Suggestions and Research Help
Looking for your next enthralling read or video content on a theme? Library staff can match you to the perfect book, movie, documentary, or audiobook.
We can also help you find information on any topic imaginable from family history research to raising chickens in your backyard.

Alternate Formats for Print Disabilities
Albertans unable to use conventional print materials due to a print disability (visual, physical or cognitive) have a number of options to access materials in alternate formats.  Our library can provide access to large print books, audio books on discs or in digital format (direct to device or computer), braille books, described video and equipment (i.e. DAISY readers).  We can also help you register for services through the National Network for Equitable Library Service (NNELS) or the Centre for Equitable Library Access (CELA).

Tools & Equipment
Parkland Regional libraries lend many non-book materials such as eReaders, pedometers, power monitors, and DAISY book readers. Ask staff about all the exciting things you can borrow from us!
